Real nappies will save you money in the long run but it is money up front, a great way of avoiding this up front cost is to borrow from your local credit union. They supply low cost loans for any purpose and it’s a great way of buying all the real nappies you need without breaking the bank. Loans are repaid weekly or monthly whatever suits you best.

The Credit Union is committed to helping people to start saving, we now have many members who for the first time in their lives can pay for that wedding, holiday or new furniture from their own savings, adults can save as little as two pounds a week and children one pound. We can also lend to our members, we emphasize lend to our members as it is our members pooled money which we lend.

Your money is as safe in a credit union as with any major bank or building society.

To be eligible for a loan from the credit union you must live or work within the County Borough of Neath Port Talbot. You must save for a minimum of 6 weeks you can then borrow up to 3 times the amount you have saved.

A typical £200 loan paid off over 12m will cost £4.10 a week.

Free life insurance if provided with all loans.

There are several collection points in the Borough where you can pay your weekly or monthly payments you can also pay by standing order.
