What Goes Around Comes Around...
This year’s theme is ‘Recycling – It’s Worth It’, aiming to demonstrate the benefits of recycling items all around the home by showing what can happen to the things you recycle.
Ever wondered what happens to your recycling? Well, over 80% of you in the UK do believe recycling does make a difference, but a quarter of you don’t see the direct benefit of recycling. Watch the videos below to see how recycling common household items can have a big impact.
Why is recycling worth it?
Recycling your food waste could help grow more food for your next meal
Much of our food waste ends up in landfill where it rots releasing methane, a harmful greenhouse gas. Food waste recycled by in-vessel composting creates soil improver and fertiliser which can be used to grow more food or feed plants in your local parks.
